Singapore Slingers

After wandering the spectacular grounds at the Raffles Hotel, a sudden, tropical downpour hit like a slap in the face. Caught in the rain, I scrambled for shelter and I found myself at The Long Bar – the home of the Singapore Sling. Drenched, I grabbed a shirt from my Trap Duffle, found an table and ordered the house special. Not usually one for drinks decorated with fruit, I made an exception… when in Rome. Peanuts were complimentary and empty shells covered the tiled floor. Three Slings, a pile of peanuts and a beer later and I was ready to either sleep under the table or order another.
