ART OF THE JOURNEY

The (Sur)Real House of Dalí

After trekking north from Barcelona to Cadaqués, we stumbled upon Salvador Dalí’s long time residence. Made up from a collection of old converted fishing huts, the house is a reflection of his art – crazy and surreal, a labyrinth of paths and passages that take you on a journey to all kinds of odd and amazing places like the outdoor pool and lounge area. Dali and his wife Gala would entertain their guests, sitting on Michelin tire couches, surrounded by taxidermy pets… Sounds like my kind of party!
