Driving through History: Slave Settlements

Driving across Cat Island you couldn't help but notice it is rife with abandoned rundown houses. These were part of the slave settlements set up for the cotton plantations back in the 18th century. The fierce Bahamas sun, endless stone and clothing is making me sweat in places you do not want to know... I need a dip in the ocean followed by an ice cold Kalik beer A-SAP.
